Basic characteristics of the construction and its future operation:
Water work Želiezovce was designed as a multi-purpose construction fulfilling more functions (water management, energetic, environmental). The water work is situated above Želiezovce, approximately of the same altitude as municipality Mikula, about 1 km under a petrol station Mikula. The construction brings a solution how to get energy from renewable resources in accordance with the DIRECTIVE 2000/60/EC OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL in the field of water policy.
