Basic characteristics of the construction and its future operation:
WR Brezová pod Bradlom is located on Bystrina Brook, 600 metres above its confluence with Baranecký Brook. It was constructed to protect the urban area of municipality Brezová pod Bradlom. Flood wave volume in a profile of the water reservoir v profile is 120,000 m3. Retention volume of the reservoir is 50,000 m3, which is approx. 42 % of the total flood wave volume.
